We are proud to announce that Space4CC will take part in the upcoming open access lecture series "Beyond academia: HEI and society collaboration in response to the Ukrainian cultural heritage crisis". Space4CC Team advances data ecosystem prototype development

In a significant stride toward enhancing data-driven cultural heritage preservation, the Space4CC team, as part of the Data4UA project, is actively developing a groundbreaking prototype system. Επίσημη έναρξη του έργου Data4UA για την ενίσχυση της Διαχείρισης της Πολιτιστικής Κληρονομιάς στην Ουκρανία Την 1η Νοεμβρίου 2023 ξεκίνησε επίσημα το έργο Data4UA που εστιάζει στα δεδομένα με στόχο την ενίσχυση των πρωτοβουλιών διαχείρισης της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς στην Ουκρανία. NASA space apps challenge, Dnipro brought Space4CC solution further

Together with a team from National Observatory of Athens, Web2Learn and developers from Baltic countries, Space4CC participated in the NASA space apps challenge in Dnipro, Ukraine 7- 8 October 2023. NASA has several Earth observation products such as land cover and air quality that will enrich the Space4CC solution. Great progress was made in this world's largest hackathon with more than 57000 participants worldwide.

Space4CC presented at Europeana digital cultural heritage of Ukraine working group

The Europeana digital cultural heritage working group aims to establish and facilitate actions that apply the Europeana Initiative’s collective capacity and capability to support the preservation and development of the Ukrainian digital cultural heritage sector. It is a joint Task Force from the Europeana Foundation, Europeana Network Association and Europeana Aggregators’ Forum. Space4CC contributed with a presentation and discussion on the use of Earth observations, space data, and citizens generated data in the online meeting of the Europeana digital cultural heritage of Ukraine working group in September 2023.

Data4UA project rewarded by Erasmus+ Space4CC partner up with 4 partners

In response to the war in Ukraine, the Data4UA project is designed to support and enhance cultural heritage (CH) data management, emphasizing on CH education and training systems in European HEIs. In particular, war and armed conflicts pose serious threats to cultural heritage worldwide, while digital technologies have a significant role to play in safeguarding cultural heritage (UNESCO, n.d.
